About Smarty Paws Dog Training
At Smarty Paws Dog Training, we love helping dog owners transform their canine companions into family members who are a pleasure to live with and provide a lifetime of joy.
Let us show you how to change your dog’s behavior and strengthen your relationship. We realize you acquired your dog with the intention of enriching your life; let us assist you in making that a reality!
Our programs can address everything— from stubborn puppies with no manners to adult dogs with behavior issues.
In each case, we focus highly on the relationship between dog and owner because that is what truly causes a dog to be obedient. Even if you have a great bond with your dog now, there is always room for improvement.
This means you’ll be an integral part of your dog’s training, and you’ll never need another dog trainer! We don’t just teach our clients techniques or tricks; we give our clients LIFELONG skills so that bad dog behavior will never be an issue again!
About Valerie L Bissett
Howdy! I’m Valerie Bissett, a Family Dog Trainer, and I run Smarty Paws Dog Training.
I love working with families and their dogs to maximize their relationship with their pet. By starting training as young as eight weeks in the home, my clients’ dogs set a foundation of good habits for life.
Dogs that work with me learn house manners, impulse control, leash skills, and are well-socialized so that their families can include them in all activities.
Through my continuing education and professional development, I am committed to providing my clients with excellent science-based methods.
My education through Texas A&M University, professional membership of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants(IAABC), the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), and being an AKC Canine Good Citizen Certified Instructor and evaluator help me to meet my clients’ needs for them and their dog.
The first step to a Smarty Paw Pup is to schedule a time to talk with me. Together, we will make a plan for the best way to reach your dog training goals!
